SUBSEA PRESSURE TESTING SYSTEM

Bringing the stuff of myth and legend to life, our subsea unit is capable of completing pressure testing operations in their entirety directly from the subsea. Once installed, the unit is able to pressurise, isolate, continuously monitor and record a pressure test prior to performing controlled depressurisation of up to 4-off systems!

DATA RECORDING FOR MULTIPLE SYSTEMS

Demo 1.png

DATALOGGING CAPABILITIES WITH A SIMPLE INTERFACE

Kraken Subsea's subsea unit have the ability to monitor and record data for up to 4-off separate systems at once. Each system has a dedicated data logger in order to monitor each test individually.

The kit has been designed to be compatible for both diver and driverless operations, are simple to install and operate.

OLED screens provides a visual readout of instantaneous data in addition to an internal SD card that stores all recorded data for later analysis.

Typical data that can be recorded as standard include: date, time, pressure, temperature, flowrate and total volume added / removed. Additional parameters can be logged upon request.

AUTONOMOUS CHEMICAL INJECTION SYSTEMS

AUTONOMOUS & VARIABLE CHEMICAL INJECTION

Similar to many of our products, the unit is also capable of autonomous and variable chemical injection.

Meaning that, if using filtered treated seawater as your pressurisation medium, the system is able to consistently regulate chemical dosage of the testing medium.

There is also an added benefit of minimising test stabilisation durations if locally using filtered, treated seawater as a test medium as the fluid is already acclimatised at subsea ambient temperature.

The autonomous system's developed benefits have been as a direct result of our extensive knowledge and experience in the pre-commissioning field.

CREW
REDUCTION

REDUCED CREW & SPACE REQUIREMENTS

An industry first, the system allows pressure testing operations to be completed entirely on the seabed. This means that there is no additional back deck spread required to complete pressure testing activities and, typically, no extra crew.

Not only does this drastically reduce required deck space but also reduces mobilisation / demobilisation times, improves safety and drastically reduces the carbon footprint of traditional equipment spreads.

Another key differentiator is that the unit requires no crew for most operations and only a single technician for ad-hoc maintenance and refilling for longer/multiply trips.

SUBSEA
PRESSURISATION

CONTROLLED SUBSEA PRESSURISATION

Kraken Subsea's subsea pressurisation unit has several subsea pumps capable of pressurisation flowrates from 0.05litres/min up to 30litres/min.

Power is supplied via ROV, meaning a vessel only needs to be present for set up and pressurisation, once test pressure is achieved, the system can be isolated and vessel disconnected. The system will continue to record and monitor the system(s) under test with no further requirement from a vessel.

The standard unit is supplied rated to 10k psig however a 20k psig system can be supplied is required.

SUBSEA PUMPS POWERED BY

ROV

The onboard subsea pumps are hydraulically powered directly via an ROV.

Hydraulic power is supplied via a standard Dirty Workpack capable of 165barg supply at 60litres/min.

The ROV will also require an ethernet connection as processing commands are sent via UDP connection.

For connecting into the pipeline systems, the unit is supplied with a standard hot stab connection for ease of use. This can be altered as required.

CONTROLLED DEPRESSURISATION

DESIGNED FOR SAFER OPERATIONS SUBSEA

Once a pressure test has met predefined acceptance criteria, the system is then depressurised to ambient prior to any required intervention. This can be done manually via diver / ROV or autonomously once the system has passed its pressure test.

Depending on requirements, our units can have pre-designed orifice plates to control depressurisation rate or variable flow valves that are controlled via the depressurisation rate instantaneously. This not only optimises the depressurisation process but ensures it is carries out in a steady and controlled fashion.
