THE SUBSEA PIG SNIFFER

The Subsea Pig Sniffer by Kraken Subsea is a stand-alone subsea magnetic pig signaller, designed to detect pipeline pigs passing the signallers location carrying rare-earth magnets.

WIFI & ROV

CONFIGURABLE

​

Minimal set up is required ensuring that time is not wasted setting up various parameters for most operations. If required, settings can be configured using an app on any WiFi enabled device.

​

The ROV switch can be used to reset the Subsea Pig Sniffer or have the unit display the previous 10 readings without recovering the unit to the surface.

​

Logged events can be viewed locally on the OLED display or transmitted remotely over several optional interfaces.

STANDARD & CUSTOM DESIGNED FIXINGS

The Subsea Pig Sniffer can be overboard in a standard diver/ROV basket ready for pipeline installation.

 

The device can be installed quickly and easily by divers using ratchet straps or by ROV using a custom designed ROV cradle for simple installation.

​

The pipeline cradles can be supplied in sizes ranging from 4"to 60" and are general custom designed to meet our client's requirements.

RELIABLE READINGS & RECORDINGS

​

Our specially designed algorithms combined with digital filtering to ensure high reliability and reduced false-readings.

​

The Subsea Pig Sniffer takes a continual recording of time, date, pig number and maximum magnetic flux (of up to 999 events).

​

Additionally all of the information collected by the signaller is recorded to an internal SD card for later analysis if required.
